Sendmail, Why do emails come from @localhost.localdomain?

Sending emails using mail php and sendmail on ubuntu 20.04

Added writeback and changed Hostname = domain
And emails started coming via mail php function

From: [email protected]

And all mentions of @mysite.ru in the titles were replaced with @localhost.localdomain

Why didn't the recipes help? especially the second
Received Headers, X-Authentication-Warning, sending mail with sendmail?
