Seminars about IT for schools

Hello good people!

There was a frantic desire to organize and conduct a free course of lectures in my old school (for students and teachers). Briefly - "Basic course of computer literacy."

I'm worried about the current state of affairs where many PC people don't understand the basic principles of "How It Works". I think that everyone needs to know this:
- how a PC is arranged (what it consists of and how its constituent nodes interact)
- what is an OS (what is it for, different OS families and their differences)
- what is a computer program
- how does a computer network work (LAN, Internet, TCP / IP, DNS, DHCP, HTTP)

Practice:
- disassembling and assembling a PC (it's interesting, it's fun and useful, it will consolidate the first lesson)
- basic network configuration with static addresses, between two PCs. (It seems to me that this example should reinforce the concepts of network interaction, it will allow you to consolidate the lesson about networks)

I have questions, dear Khabrovites:

- What do you think should be included or excluded from the list above?
- Are there any ready-made plans for such lectures, with well-chosen questions for presentation?
— Do you think such a project is needed in our schools?

I will be very glad to questions, offers, ideas.

1. I conduct such courses.
2. How many hours do you plan the course. This greatly depends on what topics to cover.

It is also worth doing a survey among students, what questions they think should be covered in this course.
