Selling digital goods abroad: is it necessary and how to pay VAT?

Hello. I sell design layouts abroad. I have stores on several foreign marketplaces. For sales to the EU, USA, South Africa and others, I pay VAT at the end of the month. Automatically, the platform itself. As I understand it, when selling from Russia, this tax must be paid to the country in which the buyer is. It scares me that at any time on marketplaces they can be banned, even with full compliance with the rules. Therefore, I want my own online store, on Shopify or WIX or Ecwid, xs, I haven’t decided yet. As I understand it, there are only plugins with the help of which the percentage of VAT of a particular country and state is determined. How to pay this tax? Especially as an individual. Especially when the buyers are from different countries. Looking for tax details and paying them 10-30 dollars (or how much will accrue there) per month through Payoneer? Or is there some kind of minimum threshold per year (like in the UK) when you can not pay? Or to score and do not need to pay any VAT, and there will be nothing for it? Is there any automated system for paying VAT for small shops?
