Selection of programs for ipad 2 or a gift for dad

Hello! Please help with the following question:
I bought an iPad 2 for my dad as a gift. Although my dad is far from IT, he has a craving for new products. My task is to set up the iPad now for all its needs. Please recommend what programs you would recommend for solving the following tasks:

1. Simple video editing (Dad wants to make videos from photos and videos of his grandchildren)
2. Simple design of houses, exterior decoration, etc. (Dad is engaged in construction)
3. Work with Word, Excel documents

1. Without options, I agree with the previous speaker.
2. Just recently I found Home Design 3D by LiveCad, try it, there is a free version, and the full one is not expensive ($6). True, I think if dad does this professionally, then only professional packages will satisfy him. Here it is already necessary to look rather for viewers of any AutoCad (or in what they do it), there are also quite a few of them.
3. There is also Office^2, feel it, select it. While I'm very skeptical about editing documents on the iPad (or any tablet in general), that's not what they're for.
