Selecting an HDD player

Please help me choose a multimedia player.

Important for me:
-Convenient remote (small).
-Ability to install 3.5" HDD.
-Omnivorous (at least most formats).
-Understanding 2 audio streams in one file.
-Understanding subtitles.
-Reading large files.
-Relatively fast video rewind.
-Acceptable video quality.
-Full HD 1080.
- LAN, USB.
- HDMI output.
- Wi-Fi.
- Torrent client (It's good if it is, but it is possible without it.

It is desirable that the screw stops after a long period of inactivity.

Interested in the opinions of the owners.

Thanks in advance . .

I once took a promotion in an Apacer AL460 socket, emnip, for $60. The screw is not put in it, but it has ethernet. Since then, I do not see the point in media players with a screw. IMHO, it is much more convenient to have a hotel NAS, a separate polyer. Somehow more functional it turns out for comparable money. Maybe you should look at screwless players + NASiki?
ZY: the only drawback of the AL460 is that it did not play multi-channel DTS. I treated it with software firmware from older versions, now the sound is sometimes reproduced :") otherwise, I’m more than satisfied - it’s ideal for children to watch cartoons, and I don’t see the point in the absence of a separate acoustics in DTS.

I use this thing , only the hdd installation does not satisfy your requirements, you can only connect devices to this model via usb. The torrent client is installed with unofficial firmware, wi-fi using a usb adapter. The device itself works fine, I’ve been using it for about a year, there were no problems with HD video and various formats, I often watch youtube on it, the only problem with it is that you can’t search for videos with Russian names (there is no keyboard for entering Russian letters)

I bought Dune HD Base 3.0 last year - at that time it was the best in its class. Haven't heard that much has changed since then. Firmware is released regularly.
Of the minuses, I can only note the impossibility of recording TV broadcasts. (DVB-T in Russia does not count)

May I ask a related question? And how to organize high-quality 5-1 sound from a media player? For a class of devices similar to Western Digital WD TV Live - is it somehow possible to output high-quality sound (not via HDMI)?

In my experience, such pieces of iron have constant problems with audio tracks and subtitles. Not on one file, so it will stumble on another.
If I had a task like yours, I would look for a netbook with a suitable configuration, install debian minimal, vlc on it and set up power saving. The only stumbling block is the price, I have little idea of modern prices for netbooks and players. But vlc practically guarantees the absence of problems with the support of audio and subtitles. All other items, except for the remote control, will also be executed immediately.

I use xTreamer I 'm
happy with everything. The player is omnivorous (except for one problem that has not yet been solved, it seems: B-frame, if I'm not mistaken, is found in some films, because of this the film simply floats).
I ran a video on the test (a disk with fragments encoded with different codecs. Almost everything pulls.
In addition to video formats, it also reads disk images (CD, DVD, BlueRay).
According to your requirements, it does not satisfy the HDD (there is 2.5 inside or external USB), LAN (not in this model), Torrent (not available)
There is USB Wi-Fi, listening to Internet radio, watching YouTube, etc.
There are more fancy models on the site, but this one outperforms many players in tests in terms of speed (for example, when opening large JPEGs -ov
