Second higher technical education, is it worth it?
I have a Diploma in Marketing Management (full-time).
I got into the web a year ago. Through self-education, he even managed to get some freelance earnings.
Now I'm thinking of going to a correspondence course in the specialty "Information Technologies and Systems", while working in parallel.
Is it worth it?
It is clear that not the freshest knowledge will be given there (but still), so the main motivation is to get a diploma.
And what is such a diploma, in fact, worth in the eyes of the employer? (and abroad?)
Is it true that without at least such a diploma, one cannot rise above an ordinary coder?
Thank you.

Only if for the sake of a diploma. You won't get any knowledge. Except in math and physics.
Correspondence is not necessary.
Full-time is good if the university is more or less decent.
You don't need a diploma.
Not worth it.
It does not look at all, employers abroad do not particularly suspect the existence of universities in Russia, not to mention knowing a particular university.
All my coders are without diplomas, just like me, in general, what is the relationship between a diploma and coding?
well, it's like saying you didn't eat a pear, you won't be able to carry bags.
The main essence - namely the ability to study not at school, but at a university, you have already received. And a certain layer of knowledge too. Therefore, for the sake of a crust - it is not necessary.
But instead, you can educate yourself on serious courses and get certified certificates from MS/Cisco/etc
. It's much less time consuming and much more useful.
Do not confuse a diploma and higher education.
I hope it is clearly explained about the diploma here

They write here that the employer does not need a diploma, perhaps this is true, but if you want to emigrate, then a diploma in your specialty is very necessary for the immigration service.
