Scripts in Google Sheets, how to start from scratch?

Tell me worthy books for beginners on mastering scripting from ZERO to work with Google Spreadsheets.
An interesting opinion is not about those books that you saw or caught your eye, but those that were
really useful to you.
Also, maybe someone will suggest a convenient resource on syntax and structures with an organized good search.
I'm trying to use https://developers.google.com/apps-script/reference/
But it's not very convenient yet, maybe because I'm just a beginner.
