Scripts and programming. Difference?

Perhaps a bit of a stupid question, but I think we will allow for a beginner.
A good devops should be able to write scripts in Python, I would like to know how to properly approach the study of this issue in order to master this as efficiently as possible. It is worth learning Python "from scratch", that is, just downloading the basics of programming in this language and developing further, or you should look for some separate course on "Python scripting", so to speak. Are there any differences between "regular" Python and Python for scripts?

In general, everything that is written in Python is scripts.
