Screen of an old laptop monitor?

There is an old (2 year old) gutted laptop. In it, the screen is basically normal. The question is, is it possible to connect to it via a VGA cable? I would like to just mount it on the wall.

unlikely. I myself dream of this, a couple of dead laptops are lying around, but everything is OK with the screens. There is a specific connector.

Look for the pinout of your cable in the laptop service manual (you can search on notebook1.ru) and solder the pin to pin to the VGA D-Sub connector (sold in the radio store). It remains only to select the inverter power according to the same service manual.
if the laptop is alive, there is a good guide on habré habrahabr.ru/blogs/DIY/77067/
