School math for machine learning?

Good day!
From the beginning of December, I took up the repetition of the school mathematics course from grades 7 to 11. Now I'm going through quadratic functions y= k/x (Grade 8). As far as I know, for machine learning you need to know probability theory, mathematical analysis, discrete mathematics and a few more sections of higher mathematics. I read somewhere that these are separate sections of mathematics and, in principle (as I understand it), school mathematics is not necessary to know everything to study them, but it is desirable. My question is: which topics from the school course can be skipped, not repeated, and which ones are required to be studied in order to move on to machine learning in the future?
The point is not that you are too lazy to go through everything all over again, but the point is that you want to rationally and efficiently allocate your time without wasting it on unnecessary things.

Чтобы не тратить время зря и быстрее заняться ml - не тратьте время на базовую математику вообще. Начните с курса по регрессионному анализу, например есть на Курсере курс ВШЭ - Эконометрика. Только занимайтесь честно - лекции записывайте, задачи делайте (а не просматривайте лекции лежа на диване). Это будет трудно, но за 10 недель у вас будет хорошая основа для понимания алгоритмов как кластеризации, так и регрессии, будут нужные части линейной алгебры, теории вероятности и матстатистики. В процессе обучения как раз и будете заглядывать в школьные учебники, когда понадобятся теорема Ферма и всякие другие про экстремумы функций. Заодно R освоите, тоже вполне себе пригодится.

Школьная алгебра, наверное, пригодится вся; дальше - в первую очередь теорию вероятностей и линейную алгебру.

Knowledge of school mathematics in the first place is necessary in order to study mathematics further. You won't move a single step into checkmate. analysis, if you do not understand what will happen when the parts of the equation are transferred from one side to the other, and so on. If at school you had at least 4 in mathematics, then you can proceed directly to the next steps, remembering the school course if necessary.
