SATA2 or SATA3?

Hello, I bought myself an SSD in my laptop, I installed it instead of the HDD. I want to stick an old disk into the CD-ROM bay, now I choose an adapter for the HDD. They are available with support for SATA2 and SATA3. The question is, is it worth overpaying for SATA3 or is SATA2 enough for HDD?

With a laptop HDD, I doubt very much that you will even go beyond the capabilities of SATA1. 150mb/s for HDD is a very decent figure.
For mechanics, sata3 only makes sense at the same price as sata2.
