Samsung RC-720 S01 Can't enter BIOS, what should I do?
After upgrading the laptop, namely installing an SSD drive, the laptop stopped entering the BIOS.
Tried different login combinations. F2 , Del, Fn+F2, F1,F3,F4...
Reset the bios by removing the CMOS battery for a few minutes. And then the Windows with the SSD stopped loading (the screen just blinks). Put the old HDD in place. Windows starts, but does not enter the BIOS, the inscription please wait appears in the lower corner, like he wants to enter the BIOS, but Windows still starts.
I moved the SSD to the computer, Windows started up, looked at the BIOS settings on the computer, sata mode is ide. I thought that when I installed Windows on the laptop, the mode was not ide, and now, after collecting the BIOS, the laptop switched from IDE mode to AHCI, booted from the SSD from the computer (I looked at the guide on how to switch Windows from ide mode to ACHI), changed the ide mode to ACHI in Windows. I changed the sata mode to ACHI in my computer, Windows loads perfectly - it's not about the SSD. I moved the SSD to the laptop again, but it did not give any results.
I decided to flash the BIOS to a more recent firmware, and then dancing with a tambourine began ...
I downloaded SamsungBiosUpdater, it determined the BIOS version and offered to install a more recent version. I downloaded the latest version, but then there was a problem with the flashing: I launch the executable - it swears, they say charging is below 30% and the installation is not real (the battery capacity is completely exhausted). I looked at the guide on how to bypass the 30% warning. On other Samsung firmware, when the executable is launched (even if the charge is below 30%), a temporary folder appears in% temp% "Samsung_Update__", but in my version, as luck would have it, the temporary folder does not appear.
I threw the executable into Linux, unpacked it with the binwalk utility, pulled out the BIOS firmware from the executable.
I put an old HDD on the laptop, Windows booted up, used this command to flash (at my own risk and peril) WinFlash.exe ****.rom /v /cs /sd /sv /svs.
Hurray, the firmware of the village and now the bios will open, I thought, but NO. It's still just booting Windows ignoring F2, again, the Please wait bar appears and Windows is booting ...
I tried to swap the RAM sticks and this also did not work.
