Hello community! I can't decide which android phone to choose.
If someone has dealt with these devices, write your reviews. Interested in the build quality of the devices, battery life and reliability.

I can only speak for LG. On the latest official firmware (2.3.3) it began to work really fast, the problem of a falling off flash drive disappeared. The quality of the case is quite decent, but the soft-touch coating is easily erased (especially at the corners of the device) and treated with a case.
LG. at work, many received one in April. good device, runs briskly, fits well in the hand. for these few months I have not heard from anyone that it was buggy, or there were other problems. the battery lasts an average day (not a day), but the phones work all day in talk mode. communication is kept stable even in elevators.
LG will work longer, there is a bigger battery. But Samsung is much more powerful. I would recommend the latter. It is not much more expensive, but more inspires confidence.
I can only say about LG - this is my first smartphone. I am extremely pleased with it, I have been using it for 4 months, while the euphoria from the purchase has not yet passed. I'm happy with everything about it! However, I have not yet held any other models in my hands. My charge lasts 2 days, but I don't talk much. On those days when I use it to the fullest, in the evening the device asks for power.
I have a Samsung Geo. Also all the way. Battery - a day (an hour, two WiFi; conversations about an hour; 3G only surfing around an hour; synchronization is on all the time without turning off; 40 minutes of navigation; screen brightness on the middle peasant), by the end of the day, from about 9:00, remains in the area 20%, does not ask for charging, but it's better to charge tomorrow.
Assembly and screen (brightness) - everything is fine - Samsung always seems to do this. Firmware for 2.3.3 has already been released, flash has appeared and everything that goes in it. I sewed it, it works.
It seems to me that there is more preference for brands, especially in this comparison. I prefer Samsung.
samsung has a higher processor clock speed and has a light sensor (a convenient thing, I regret that I don’t have it on my galaxy ace), and the p500 is cheaper
If you choose from these two, then of course Samsung is better. but I'd rather take ZTE Blade (Orange San Francisco) - cheaper, more RAM, more screen resolution ...
Comparison .
I see that the Samsung Galaxy Gio will be cooler, but it seems that there are no fundamental differences that would prompt me not to save an extra thousand. So, I'll probably take the LG P500 Optimus One from payday.
As the owner of lg, I will vote for him. If the hands are right and there is a desire, then finish the phone to a cool device. I even enjoyed sculpting my firmware assemblies and other little things :)
Also asked the question of choosing between Gio and Optimus One. I will add from the differences, perhaps insignificant, but still - Samsung has two speakers (voice and on the back panel) versus one (voice) from LG.
Also - Samsung has a two-point multi-touch versus LG's dual touch (I put it right or not, but there is a difference for sure). Samsung has 16 million screen colors versus 256 thousand colors for LG. The battery capacity of LG is nominally slightly higher - 1500 mAh versus 1350 mAh for Samsung, although I believe there will be no tangible difference between them in the duration of work, all other things being equal. In addition, there are precedents for the purchase and successful operation of a Chinese battery of a similar type on the Samsung Gio, designed to work with the Galaxy Ace (1500 mAh) with a noticeable increase in the operating time of the device compared to the native battery. There is also a nominal difference in the frequency of the processor - Samsung has already overclocked from the factory to a frequency of 800 MHz Qualcomm MSM7227 Turbo ARMv6. In fact, this is the same “six hundred” as LG. I read that LG is “chasing” on custom firmware up to ~ 825 MHz, and Samsung - no, because. already overclocked initially (or rather, the experimenters still had attempts to overclock Samsung, but the latter were unsuccessful due to the restoration of the original frequency after rebooting the device). More - Video recording: 640x480 px., 30 frames / s for LG versus 320 x 240 px. at Samsung. There is also a slight difference in RAM size in favor of LG.
My personal choice eventually fell on the Samsung Galaxy Gio, which, with all the pros and cons, was influenced by the design and great novelty of the device. Something like this…
