MIUI vs Cyanogen mod 10 for SGS i9000?
Hello, Khabrovites.
I have been using my Samsung Galaxy S of the first model for a year and a half (if not more) and it’s not that I want to change it. More precisely, not even so. I logically fight against the desire to buy a new phone, arguing that mine does everything the same and I don’t need to throw out 600 bucks.
But I want updates. I already have some kind of custom firmware based on 4.0 (I sewed it a long time ago, I don’t remember where), but there are small complaints about it. For example, it seems to me that it does not always unload programs that I close from memory, and as a result, after a couple of days of use, the phone has to be rebooted.
But not the point. I want novelty. And preferably based on Android 4.1
Tell me, can anyone have one of the firmware stated above, and if so, share the pros and cons.
Thanks in advance.

I don’t have an I9000, but an SGN, but I can only say that MIUI is not particularly happy with us even miuivodov. They even say that MIUI was normal before 4.xx
And in general, MIUI and CM10 are different in their firmware idea. I would recommend CM, because it looks close to stock, but has a lot of functionality. MIUI is very different from stock, has its own goodies, but not everyone likes it.
In general, you can put both and be like a couple of days with each of them.
It's not the same for everybody. After I tried MIUI, I can't use anything anymore. Going to buy Xiaomi M2 :-)
Try CM, but as mentioned above, not everyone likes it, I personally installed CM on all my devices (except for the last samsung s3), before that there was S1 (9003), I tried a lot of different firmware, I didn’t like MIUI, I returned back to CM. Make a backup of your firmware and try to install different firmware ... twist on the taste and color ... :) good luck!
Miui is a beautiful system, but eats a lot of RAM. CyanogenMod has more flexible settings. As for updates - they come to miui every Friday.
I sit on the nine, it quite suits stable. Now I'm downloading the tenth nightly, let's see.
If you have knowledge of English, then you can smoke xda-developers.com, where in the appropriate topics they will talk about the pros and cons of a particular firmware.
