Safe or insecure fonts?

When choosing a font for a project, I came across such concepts as safe and unsafe fonts.
Can you explain what this means and what are the pros and cons of both?

Actually, this is a false concept. That is, yes, there are fonts that "many have", and there are - that the majority do not have. But this is not so important if you are laying out the layout so that it is more or less independent of fonts.
