Running Windows 7 from VHD from grub2?
Need to run Windows 7 without installing to hard drive from grub2.
After removing the seven, the computer refused to install it again (perhaps because the partition allocated for it was in the same "logical drive container" with ext * systems).
I tried to install the system on a flash drive, but my laptop, as I understand it, does not support usb devices without a loaded system (plop boot manager does not see the flash drive from any of the usb ports).
Running from a virtual machine is also not suitable, because. All computer resources are needed, especially a video card with installed drivers.
There remains only one option that I can see - starting the OS from a VHD disk. Google only knows shamanic options with FiraDisk and NTBOOT, but there are guides for them only under grub4dos and I don’t know how to adapt them to grub2.
There is also a VMLite tool that can do this, but it is adapted for installation from under windows and the guides are written for it.
