Ruby on Rails - where can beginners get experience? / To find a job?

Goodnight! Relatively recently, I began to study Rails 3, as a rule, I have little experience, and I need more practice, practice, practice, and preferably in real projects, I came up with a small startup (todo list) for myself, and so far I am training on it (asgard.heroku.com). And actually the question is in the title ... maybe someone knows where to find something like an exchange of open source projects, startups, a part-time job for beginners ... in general, something like that? Thanks for answers!

In the West, it is recommended to do this:
1) Create a profile on github
2) Start maintaining a developer blog
3a) Start writing your bike by publishing sources in github
3b) Join an existing project
Well, then, look for a job through twitter / linkedin / something else. As noted above, RoR is not very popular on freelance exchanges. Most companies that use RoR post vacancies on their website.

My answer will not be of practical use, but it may support your undertaking. Don't listen to anyone. Improve your professional level and level of English. If you are a good developer (in general, and not just a “RoR programmer”, then you won’t be left without a job, no matter what language you write in.
And how exactly, you’ve already written above - open source projects are a good option. Also, don’t forget that all these projects are written by people who work somewhere, so there is not a zero chance of being noticed by one of the developers.

Nowhere. RoR is almost not in demand. In my life, I have seen an application for RoR only from a state-owned company in order to limit the number of participants in the state tender.
If you want to be in demand, then drop this crap and do java or c#. You can ask job.ru if you don't believe me.
