Is it possible to use socks proxy in gem httpclient?

There was a need to use socks5 proxy in one of the scripts where the httpclient library is used.
Judging by the documentation, there is no such native possibility, so the question arose, how can this case be soxified?
And for the future, maybe someone knows a normal lib for robots with a web that can do socks as well?
