Router.push() to external sources?

The bottom line is, the project in the linter has "no restricted global vars" (it seems to be so), so I can’t redirect using location.href, is it possible somehow using Vue Router to go to the full URL, let’s say this: where the URL is absolute way.
this.$router.push({ path: URL });

Use through window, it won't go anywhere:
window.location.href
