Rollback to factory settings. Will the sections merge into one?

The laptop (Acer Aspire E1-572G) has one hard drive. I divided it into two sections. Will it "merge" into one if I roll back to the factory settings of the OS (because I want to move all the necessary files to it)?

Most probably not. The unofficial description says that sections are not deleted.
Rollback to factory settings - reinstalling the operating system from the recovery partition.

depending on which recovery mode to choose. If you choose to save user data, then the partitions should remain, but my advice to you is not to be lazy and transfer the data to the portable device and make a full backup and divide the partitions a trifling matter

Make a backup anyway. There will be less sadness. If we are talking about Win8, then everything should be preserved.

If you select the UPDATE item in the win8.1 control panel or when you install the OS again and follow the instructions to complete it, then the files and system settings (almost all existing ones) will be migrated (saved).
But if you choose Reset (RESET), then the operation will be performed according to the factory scenario ...
