Reverse debugging not working in Eclipse CDT?

I wanted to use reverse debugging, this feature is supported by gdb and Eclipse.
Turned it on according to the manual . But when you start debugging and enable "Toggle reverse debugging", an error window appears: "Unable to toggle reverse debugging". This is where all reverse debugging ends.
Normal debugging works fine.
I'm debugging under Windows 10 + mingw64:
gcc - 7.3.0
gdb - 8.0.1
Eclipse Oxygen
Google did not give any sense, so I decided to ask the community.
What am I doing wrong?
PS: already even out of sporting interest, I want to run this debugging mode.
