Removed ntfs, installed ext4. How to recover files from a deleted partition?

Demolished Windows, installed Linux, it turned out that the necessary files were there. It was 3 months ago, the system was hardly used. How to recover files? there were files and pictures and text.

If large volumes of files were not passed through Linux (if you decide to download all the seasons of your favorite Santa Barbara in HD and with three dubbing variations, then forget about the old files), then Testdisk will help you. Console utility, run via sudo. If you have more or less mastered Linux (in particular, the console), master testdisk as well. Otherwise, take it to the service.

Most likely there is no way, you can try to drive the recovery utilities, but most likely a waste of time. As I understand it, there is no backup either, so congratulations now you are one of those users that do not make backups, most likely you will move to the group of those that are already doing it.

If there was NTFS (and it doesn't matter, I think what happened) - there is hardly anything better than GetDataBack for NTFS.
