Remote light control?
Hello! I asked myself the question of implementing a smart home, the task is actually simple: You need to create a remote control of the light, that is, not just create, but so that I can understand while sitting in the office whether I left the light on or not, and if it is on, turn it off via the web face. Of course, at the stage of repair it is much easier, but when the repair is completed long ago, what solutions are best suited? Or maybe there are some ready-made solutions, a smart switch?

In fact, the wagon solution options, the budget is also very different.
The cheapest and most flexible option is the Sonoff relay and other esp8266 products. You can manage directly through MQTT or put something like MajorDoMo.
The more expensive option is smart Xiaomi or other ZigBee products. All this is more expensive, but the main problem is the standards of China or the States. For example, the same Xiaomi has smart sockets with a Chinese connector, and cool built-in switches have a square socket (and not euro round), i.e. you gotta hit the wall...
What to buy something, I would suggest to immediately decide:
1. Do you have a serious perspective or play around?
2. Do you want to do everything with your own hands or buy ready-made and not bathe?
If you play with your own hands, then there are a lot of projects like this: view24.ru
Seriously and with your own hands, then MajorDoMo or HomeAssistant
If you play and buy, then some affordable Chinese kits or separate devices like Xiaomi or Sonoff
If you seriously buy it, then the choice here is unlimited, for any amount, there are a lot of advertisements on the Internet.
You can also take a look at this overview of solutions.
