Remote desktop on VPS (Linux) for the little ones?

Recently, more and more often I hear what they say in troubled times, a remote workspace on your VPS / VDS is our everything.
And how to set it up then? What can you read, smoke on this topic? Or maybe there is a simple solution?
Also, I see that VPS / VDS offices now provide such a feature as a remote desktop. But as I understand it, they have it purely as an addition to more convenient management of their virtual server? Is it possible to just use them quietly ubuntu, firefox, and play packman?
I'm interested in the simplest setup on an average VPS of a regular ubuntu and the ability to work with it remotely (virtual desktop). I do not have console skills well, but I am very familiar with a variety of Linux (at one time it was even a hobby - to find the perfect Linux distribution from the point of view of an ordinary layman)
Can anyone tell me something?

The easiest option is via VNC.
Setup example: https://www.digitalocean.com/community/tutorials/h...
As a desktop, it is better to use not XFCE, but LXDE. If there is not enough RAM on the server, then IceWM.

The instruction for the simplest solution with a remote desktop in Ubuntu 18 and an RDP connection
Server with 2GB of RAM is enough for the eyes.
