Remote desktop connection to Mac OS X?

Are there ways to connect to a remote desktop on Mac OS X other than regular VNC? Regular VNC, to put it mildly, is not very good - it does not know how to resize permissions, turn off themes and effects, turn off the background, and reduce the number of colors.
Teamviewer somehow, in principle, works slow, besides, for some reason, it doesn’t start automatically after waking up. What to use?

If the machine does not have a dedicated IP, then it is best to use a standard VNC server, it issues IPv6 from the Apple pool.
Having learned the IPv6 of the machine, you can connect to it via SSH, VNC, AFP. Maybe some more, haven't checked. The only condition, most likely, is IPv6 support by the application.
All other connection methods do not provide a direct connection.

I'm also looking. At the moment I settled on Chrome remote desktop.
Still, by the way, it would not hurt that the sound was forwarded to the client.
