Reliable working RDP client under ubuntu
For some reason, Remmina filters Ctrl and crashes every five minutes, I found several topics on the forums, slowly and unsuccessfully scratching my head. KRDC - we connect, we see the server screen, but for some reason the login dialog is missing - facepalm. Are there normal working RDP clients under ubuntu or like with the office - everything is ready, but you can’t seriously use it?

Regular rdesktop. I have been using it for 6 years already. Everything is fine. Win 2003.
Just need to fix the config for the keyboard - replace the contents of the /usr/share/rdesktop/keymaps/ru and /usr/share/rdesktop/keymaps/en-us files
with this:
# generated from XKB map ru
include common
map 0x419
grave 0x29
asciitilde 0x29 shift
asciicircum 0x07 shift
backslash 0x2b
bar 0x2b shift
apostrophe 0x28
greater 0x34 shift
less 0x33 shift
I recently compiled FreeRDP from the latest sources, it works stably and is compatible with Win8\2012.
Maybe it's in the connection parameters to the server or in the protocol version?
My KRDC normally shows the login screen when connecting to Windows 2008 Server R2.
You can try 2X Client for Linux .
You can try 2X's RDP client .
For use on a 64 bit system, you need to additionally download getlibs-all.deb and add dependencies:
sudo dpkg i getlibs-all.deb
sudo getlibs -64 libesd.so.0
sudo getlibs -32 libesd.so.0
then install the client: dpkg -i --force-architecture 2XClient.deb
I use a script with a bare rdesktop - it works fine.
Set once and forget.
rdesktop works much more stable, the script made a link to the desktop and forgot
