Relevant and interesting thesis project?

Hello!
I am a 4th year bachelor's student, there was a difficulty with the choice of the thesis. I would like to do work related to recommender systems and BigData in general. It is important that the project is manageable by a student who does not have extensive experience.
Did a course project on the design and implementation of a recommender system for a real store. I have some experience with the appropriate stack of python libraries to work in this area. I'm thinking about working with Hadoop, but again I don't know where and what data to get.
