Relevance of Fragment in android?

Hello. Started learning Fragment today. After reading the Google documentation, I found out that Fragment has become deprecated since version 28. Also learned that it is now in the support library.
Based on this, the questions arose: how relevant is it now? need to learn and use? is there an alternative?
I ask for the most detailed answer. Because I want to get knowledge, not just a yes / no answer.

Fragment api has been decoupled from the platform and moved to a separate library. Actually, that's all you need to know.
If you need fragments, include this library .
