Regional domain binding, how to check?

Tell me, I watched a video on auditing sites and came across one of the items called "Regional domain binding". Link to the video https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=E04GBGkAnM0

This position is number one, at the very beginning of the video.

The question is, what does he mean, and is it an important factor at all? How to see this binding to the country and moreover to the city. Tried different whois services no one shows.

In Russia, the RU zone works best in Ukraine, UA, and so on. That is, national domains. By city - there are regional domains, for example MOSCOW
On the other hand, there are region settings in Yandex Webmaster and Google Search Console. This also needs to be checked. By default, the same Google Search Console will set the country based on the "nationality" of the domain

one of the items called "Regional domain binding".

For Yandex
  1. through the settings in Yandex Webmaster's office - Site information - Regionality
  2. service Yandex maps / Yandex Directory (indication of the address / city of the company and site address)
  3. by writing the address on the contacts page and in the header of the site with the design of micro-markup schema.org/Organization

for google
  1. can focus on the domain zone (most likely .RU will determine how Russia)
  2. Google Maps/Google Business service (indicating the address/city of the company and the website address)
  3. by writing the address on the contacts page and in the header of the site with the design of micro-markup schema.org/Organization
