Recovery RAID 10 failed drive, how to properly replace it?
Good afternoon everyone
. This is a question. There is a server on it 4 disks combined in RAID 10 which uses Intel® Rapid Storage Technology
The question is how to replace a failed disk?
Do you need to do something after replacing the disk, still carry out some manipulations in the Intel® Rapid Storage Technology utility itself, or will it automatically pick up and start initializing itself?
Or will it be necessary to delete (break this raid) and then collect it again?
The question is that on the server the data is in a single copy ((((

What about ged backups?
Remove the dead disk, insert a new one, wait until synchronization is completed
If it's RAID-10 - just pull out the drive, insert a new one. The utility itself will pull it into the raid. Progress will be displayed in Rapid's main window.
In the comments, you gave a link to the manual, which says that you need to rebuild the raid manually - this is true only for RAID-0, because. where all data is lost.
And most importantly - do nothing without backups.
