Recover XLS file that won't open

Hello!
There is a file *.xls, which lies on the Linux server (ext4) and with which employees work.
So two days ago the file stopped opening.

Used Microsoft Office 2010
Can't open on any host.
Standard Open and Repair does not help.

Help!?!

Is there only one such file? There were no ransom demands for the files, for an hour? Was there a mass renaming of files?
