Recording music in Linux?

I used to write music on Windows using Cubase + guitar rig. Guitar rig used as a VST effect. Let's say I recorded 3 different tracks with one guitar and put different effects on them using a guitar rig. After recording, it was possible to "play around" with the effects of the guitar rig, so to speak, to experiment.
Now I have Debian. Installed Ardour + Rakarrack.
The fact is that you have to record in Ardour immediately with the effect of Rakkarack. This is not convenient, because if I want to change the effect, I will have to re-record everything. Maybe there is an opportunity to put different effects on several tracks?

As an option - record a clean input, and listen to the post-process (to feel the sound). And then from Ardour run the raw record through the processor again with the necessary settings (I used Guitarix) and write to the next track. But it turns out realtime processing, faster than the duration of the batch, so processing will not work.

Not worth it. At the moment, Linux is not suitable for this.
Use Windows.
As far as I know there are no analogues of Cubase for Linux.
