Recording from two or more microphones. What can be the implementation with a minimum budget?

The subject itself: you need to organize recording from two or more microphones connected via a 3.5 mm jack with minimal investment.
Given: two microphones, a laptop with one connector.
On Google, almost all the materials that I could find indicate the purchase of a mixer, but this will cost at least 5-6 tr., which is acceptable, but I would like to reduce costs several times.
So what exactly interests me.
How is recording through a mixer on a 3.5mm jack organized, is it realistic and how expedient is it?
How can you do without it? Some sources mention vague "2 sound cards", but nothing is really explained, is it really possible to force writing two sound cards (in our case - external, usb), what is called simultaniously?
I really look forward to your advice, because. there is an urgent need and for the first time it is not possible to carry out an effective search in Google.

@hErrosh

Alternatively, buy a USB audio card(s) and use it. The price is from $ 3 for China, there are
$ 30-40, etc.
Sound recording at the same time is also possible, but I don’t remember, google it. As an option - recording with several copies of the program and synchronization (for example, with a loud sound)

There was a similar question . Take a look at the comments too. Much depends on what exactly you need to record (for example: if there is a voice, and two microphones for increased sensitivity, then this is one thing; if something else and you need more quality, then this is of course another).
In theory, if you use a "double" for 3.5, then it should be possible to write to several streams.

I recently got a second microphone from Ali, and the splitter was already used, it was used simultaneously for speakers and a music center, I tried it with microphones - it works great! recommend
