"Reconnect" cable internet?

The apartment has an Internet cable, presumably from NetByNet or Corbina.
There is also a switch hanging on the wall, which seems to say that the cable is from outside (that is, from the street it is operational (the light next to which LAN is written is green). From the switch I pull the cable into the room, to the laptop, I insert it - zero reactions, no everything is connected, although the light still lights up when you connect it to the laptop. The
question is - is it possible to somehow "reconnect" the Internet or will I have to run a new cord?

Well, if you were blocked in NetByNet or Corbina, then you can’t

According to the description, the problem can be seen in the connection, right? Why then immediately take such drastic measures? Have you tried anything else? There are many ways.
