Machine translation from one language to another

Recommend an EN->RU translation software?

Actually, %subject%.
There is a fairly large amount of text in English on general humanitarian topics with a minimum of special vocabulary.
Is there currently a software (web service?) that will allow more or less tolerably translate source texts into Russian? I'm not talking about a completely perfect translation, but at least minimizing proofreading and corrections.
Software can be paid as well.

Of the web services, I would recommend Google translate.
From desktop software - PROMT, but it is paid.

About ten years ago, my father translated books like that. Scanned, drove into fine reader, then into PROMT. And after - manual editing of the text with the original at hand. You can't minimize adjustments.

Alternatively:
www.trident.com.ua/ru/on-line
You can check everything for adequacy with some tricky paragraph, then choose which one you like best.
