Good evening!

Please advise me a simple video editor for mac os x. With an attractive interface.
What I want:
- Convert and optimize the video for YouTube
- Cut only the necessary from a long video
- Mount two cut pieces into one
- Remove background sound
- Apply a text comment.

All in all. I want maximum simplicity and convenience from the software. Thank you!

from a long video - Overlay a text comment. On YouTube itself, you can, and it's even better.

In addition to conversion, YouTube itself can do everything else. The editor is very conveniently implemented there.
As for the converters for poppy, then IMHO the best one is ffmpegx .
