I am looking for a free product catalog CMS. Almost the same as an online store. but without the function of paying for the basket, etc. etc. just a pure directory. What good advice do you have?

I chose www.oscommerce.com/ It went perfectly. drank almost everything that is possible.

If you just need a showcase without sorting, etc. then you can use WP. Those. any engine where you can build a tree.
