Recommend a biometric reader

I am looking for a biometric reader (fingerprints) for tracking working hours, from which you can upload data over the network - using native api, snmp or something else.
We bought some Chinese from which it seems to be stated, but in practice there is no access over the network, except for a password-protected telnet.
Who can advise something? Preferably a simple and proven option.

I used Biolink . There were no complaints after a year of use.
