receiving and forwarding SMS to email? UPD

Hello community.
I ran into such a problem that I often have to go to remote places where there is no cellular connection at all. And there is a need to periodically receive SMS.
It is necessary to somehow organize the forwarding of incoming SMS to the mail number.
None of the big three operators allows you to forward incoming messages to email.

Can you please tell me what is needed to implement this?
As I saw the diagram:
Buy a GSM modem that is connected to a computer, set up forwarding to the number of the SIM card inserted into the modem, and somehow organize forwarding to email.

Actually here questions are born:
What modem? (Walked through Yandex.Market and there are not all of them with slots for sim)
How to organize mail forwarding?

Thanks in advance.

Take the cheapest android phone, insert a SIM card there and install a program that will forward incoming SMS to e-mail. The easiest way.

I once did something similar with a Huawei E1550 modem inserted into a Linux computer and the Gammu program. I wrote a simple bash script, where all parameters are passed by environment variables.
