In the process of designing a small project, the question arose: is it possible to receive SMS messages for an existing phone number rented from a voip provider?

The number is used for telephone user support, and I would like that SMS sent to this number was also processed.

If you want to receive SMS, the options are usually the following:
1) Insert a physical SIM into the modem, the modem into the server and configure the processing of SMS by AT commands there.
