RDP on 10 is faster than on 7k?

I work on 7k via RDP, very unpleasant lags while working, although the ping to the server is 60-65 ms. Will 10 be faster with protocol version 10 or not? Maybe there are ways to improve the quality besides reducing the bit depth and so on?
