Raised OpenVPN, but DNS is still on - why, how to fix it?
Hello. I made myself OpenVPN on Digital Ocean using this script - https://github.com/Nyr/openvpn-install
I don’t understand this issue myself, so I ask knowledgeable people to explain. The fact is that when checking with different services, like whoer.net, my DNS address did not change (although I chose OpenDNS DNS when setting up OpenVPN). Previously, I already raised OpenVPN in a similar way, and the DNS changed successfully too. Also the moment - selected TCP if it can influence something.
VPS - Ubuntu 16.04. The working machine is also Ubuntu 16.04. Probably somehow it is possible to configure locally DNS on the client?

If you don't wrap VPN with applications in a separate network namespace, Javascripts from the internet can still get through to DNS from /etc/resolv.conf.
