Questions about the backup structure?

There is a virtual VMWARE infrastructure with MSSQL and servers.
There is also a Veeam client for backup and replication.
There is no backup structure at all.
the question is - does anyone else use incremental backups and where can I find templates for creating a Disaster Recovery Site?
I'm thinking of doing:
Sun and Friday - Full/Normal
Mon - Thursday - Differential
by Vmware/Veeam/Vreplicator The same questions -
when should I do replication (daily-weekly?), use quiscence, VSS integration and something like rollback points?

1. The frequency of creating backup copies (replicas) can only be determined by you yourself, depending on the assessment of the necessary relevance of the data. On some VMs, replicas are made every day and even more often.
2. In the Veeam (VBR) client, all backups are incremental, only some are intended for copying to tape, others to NAS devices, etc.
The difference between Reversed incremental and Incremental is explained here .
If you plan to backup or replicate to a NAS device, then, taking into account the Change Block Tracking mechanism (only changed blocks are copied), all backups will be incremental.
You should not forget to make periodic full backups, since copies with CBT in rare cases may not work.
3. The frequency of replication also needs to be assessed by you. The difference is that the replica starts immediately, while the backup requires deployment to the host (in the latest version it can also be started immediately, but often this is far from the best option).
4. VSS. It should only be used for services that support it, MSSQL is one of those. In addition, Veeam recommends using VSS for all Windows machines without exception.
5. Rollback points - the number of recovery points. For example, if you made copies on Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday, you can deploy the VM as of any of those days.
