Question for HTC HD7 users?
Hello!
I plan to order HTC HD7 - from Amazon-a to relatives in Germany, and from there already here, to Russia.
Please tell me, is it worth asking relatives to turn on the phone, or not?
I was told that at the first start, you need to select the language and bind to LiveId, and then, if the wrong language was selected, you need to do a software reset, etc.
Is it so? On the one hand, I want to make sure that the device is working, on the other hand, I don’t want to bother with problems that can be avoided later :-)
What other pitfalls does the phone hide?

The language is not tied to anything, no binding to liveId seems to be required. Yes - the phone is tied so that you can later find it or block it via the Internet, but there are no restrictions on the language, etc. it doesn't impose.
From what I could not change - the standard German search engine (de.yahoo) when typing the query text in the address bar, although the find button opens bing.
Of the minuses - the inconvenient location of the speaker - it is in a recess, and because of this, the upper bezel of the phone (and it is quite thin) - unpleasantly presses on the ear when talking.
Well, the main disadvantage is the alarm clock, for me it is practically inoperable.
The battery holds normally, enough for a day, even if you listen to music and climb in the cards.
I put Windows Phone 7 on HD2, the assembly was torn off from HD7. Without any problems, I activated it via a chat with an American support. I had to tell them really stories that I bought it when I was in New York, but I use it in Ukraine. Then the truth came from the Ukrainian support letter, that they are already activating the type, too, because. a bunch of requests. So feel free to do it all here.
