Question about working with GitHub from a teapot

Hello!

There is such a framework - Kohana. Everything in it is good, but I change something immediately after installation. Recently, I got around to taking out the entire modified framework that resulted separately (usually when you think that you should do this, the application is already half written and this becomes not the easiest and most interesting task). So I made all the changes, now I think to share with the public. With github (as well as with git in general) I worked quite a bit (created a repository, uploaded the project and that’s it), so my question is: how can I publish the modified framework on github in the right way?

The most correct thing would be to fork the existing Kohana project and make changes to it already. Further, depending on whether the authors of Kohay want to accept your code, and you, accordingly, give it away, either make a Pull request, or maintain your branch, accepting changes from Kohay with the release of each new version.
