Question about partitioning?

Recently I bought myself a new computer with a 128GB SSD and a 1TB HDD. First, I installed Windows 10 on an SSD, partitioned both disks with a standard installer. The HDD is already clogged, I don’t want to format it, how can I allocate 150GB from it for Linux? When I start installing ubuntu, it only sees the SSD with Windows. I tried to conjure with GPARTED, but did not, as it warns of data loss.

And I would rather allocate 28 GB for the Linux system, and mount the home folder on the HDD.
And on business. If you physically disconnect the SSD, will the HDD be visible?
