Good afternoon.
We recently encountered the fact that HAProxy fell under a load of 8000 simultaneous connections.
When we let traffic directly to the web server, everything went fine.
On the server, the OS network stack was initially optimized.

A characteristic feature under load was that the web servers were marked as offline, although when they were directly accessed they worked very, very quickly.

If anyone has dealt with something similar, I would be happy to discuss options for resolving the issue.

IMHO the number of sockets has exceeded the allowable rate, look at the sysctl settings.
what's in the logs? what happens when trying to telnet from the haproxy host to the server?
