Qt: How to create xml in a project file?

There is a qt-framework-installer project with several components. Information on different components and on the project as a whole is in separate xml files. And when you need to change their contents, it is not very pleasant to run through all the files with the same name with xml tags, in which you can get confused and forget something. I would like to make one common configuration section in the pro file of the installer, from the variables of which each xml file of the component will be generated.
How can this be better organized?

Maybe choose something more convenient, not Qt Installer Framework? Or is it being used to the maximum?
