QLineEdit not initialized?

I send a signal from one widget on which there is a QTableView table, in another on which there is a QLineEdit. It is initialized in the slot by the setText() method. I pass the string from the cell to this lfinedit. the string goes into the slot but is not inserted into the lineedit.
