Python3 for an experienced non-Pythonian, which literature to choose?
Hello everyone,
Python was my first language, it was about 8 years ago, but life happened so that I didn’t write in it for 7 years, I left for Ruby, which I now know well, in particular ROR, but python has been fond of memories all these years in my memories, in the summer I tried Pyramid purely for fun and I liked them much more ROR, which now seems to me, though powerful, but insanely magical and over-engineered tool. I'm interested in good literature, but not for a noob. and to make it clear to a person who is still not very from the python world. For noobs, I'll find something myself. I immediately want something sharpened in python3, to know all the modern features of the language, etc. Preferably one book in Russian (but I hardly count on it) and one in English.
Thank you.

Hello.
Yes, with literature (good literature), Python is all right.
But, based on the criteria indicated, I would recommend the Fluent Python + Python Pocket Reference bundle . The second is in case you feel like you are "floating" while reading the first. That is, it may or may not be needed.
Both are in Russian. The translation of Fluent Python is very amateurish (for me - bad, a la Google Translate), the second one - I don’t know, I keep it in the original.
Personally, I would recommend both to read in the original. But you decide for yourself.
PS Pyramid is a great framework.

In Russian I can advise Lermontov
1.Python. To the heights of skill / Per. from English. Slinkin A. A. - M.: DMK Press, 2016. - 768 p. (ISBN 978-5-97060-384-0)
Interesting and well written, and even with the translation there are no special jambs. The examples show the creation of high-quality Python-way code. I liked it, I advise)
2. Learning Python Design Patterns (Edition 2)
If you are a guru in OOP, it might not be so interesting. For a freshly prepared pythonist, it is very useful. In any case, it's worth browsing.
>>> It is desirable to have one book in Russian
AByteOfPython from Svarop in Russian.
>>> and one in English
Further you take the documentation and forward.
In principle, the Talmud books are not needed, the basics are needed, everything else is best looked for off. documentation for the EP.
